Communications and Marketing

Catherine has enjoyed a successful and rewarding career in corporate communications and marketing for 30-plus years. She currently provides social media marketing services to  Barrie Olive Oil Co., a role in which she combines product knowledge and quirky creativity to maximum effect.

For almost 10 years previously, Catherine was director, communications and marketing for the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. In her role, she was responsible for communications, marketing and advertising for the institution, its students, and the busy Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.

Catherine founded, edited and published the College’s alumni magazine, and served as editor-in-chief for more than six years. In 2007, she was responsible for leading, developing and instituting the College’s immensely successful rebranding project. Other publications included annual reports and student recruitment materials. Catherine and her team also revitalized the CCNM website and digital presence.

Previous to her CCNM role, Catherine was the inaugural marketing manager at the Certified General Accountants of Ontario, where she created a role which developed and oversaw student recruitment promotional campaigns, member communications, member and student award recognition, and editorship of Personal Tax Planning.

Currently, Catherine takes on freelance communications and public awareness projects for exceptional and community-minded clients who need to build and ‘wow’ their audiences.
